Content for Contractors That Ranks and Gets Cited

Service pages, service area pages and articles built on the searches that actually turn into booked jobs, written to rank in Google and get cited in AI answers.

What contractor content is for

Content for a contractor isn't a blog for the sake of having one. It's the pages Google needs before it will rank you for a job, in a town. You will never rank for a keyword if you don't have a page for Google to rank.

How I decide what to write

  • Start with what converts. Google Ads data shows which searches turn into calls and booked jobs. Those are the keywords worth building content around, because you already know they pay.
  • A service page for every service. If you want more water heater jobs, you need a water heater page. Every service you offer gets its own page.
  • A service area page for every town. Every area you want work from gets its own page, with something true about that town, not the same page with the name swapped.
  • Articles that answer homeowners' questions. Written in plain sentences that Google and AI tools like ChatGPT can quote, and linked back to the pages that make you money.

My background in content

Content is where I started. I built a site from scratch to more than a million organic visits over 10 months and sold it. I've led a content team of 13, taken a page earning more than $5 million a year to #1, and grown a site's search traffic by 145,000 clicks in two weeks with one coordinated content push. Contractors don't need that scale, but the method is the same: write what the market searches for, in the order that pays.

What you get

  • You own everything. The pages, the words and the site stay yours.
  • No contracts. If you're not happy working together, why keep going?
  • A monthly report that starts with leads. Calls and form fills and where they came from, then rankings and how you show up in AI search.

Content is how hyperlocal search scales: one page for every job and every town, until you show up for all of them.
