Local SEO for Home Service Contractors

I get HVAC, plumbing, roofing and electrical contractors into the map pack and the top results in the towns they actually work.

What a local SEO campaign covers

  • Your Google Business Profile. The primary category comes first. A wrong one is the most common mistake I see on contractor profiles. Then the rest of the profile, photos and a steady way to get reviews.
  • Your website. A home page and service area pages built for the jobs you want, in the towns you want them. You will never rank for a keyword if you don't have a page for Google to rank.
  • Internal links and supporting content. Links from your strongest pages, and articles that point back to the pages that make you money.
  • Citations, then links. Clean listings everywhere, then local sponsorships, guest posts and pages worth linking to.

How I start

Week one is an audit of your Google Business Profile, your website, and your backlinks and citations. I need to see where you stand and find the biggest lever to pull. My goal is always the low hanging fruit that gets leads in fastest, because "SEO takes six months" depends on your market, your competition and where your site is today.

Why I started doing this

I started Hyperlocal Marketing in 2023 after meeting an HVAC contractor on the Texas Gulf Coast. He'd been paying a big agency $5,000 a month, ad spend included, for over six months and getting no leads. When he left, they took his website down. He already had strong reviews. I rebuilt the site in a few weeks, fixed his profile's primary category and tightened the internal links. Within the first month he was in the map pack.

What you get

  • No contracts. If you're not happy working together, why keep going?
  • You own everything. The site, the files and the Google Business Profile. You add me as a manager on your profile, and you stay the owner.
  • A monthly report that starts with leads. Calls and form fills and where they came from, then profile activity, local rankings and how you show up in AI search.

This is what I mean by hyperlocal search: ranking in the specific towns you serve, for the specific jobs you want, not chasing traffic from people who will never call.

Who it isn't for

If you can't invest for three to six months, don't start an SEO campaign. A one-time Google Business Profile audit and cleanup is the better buy until you can. Every market is different, so the budget should match the work it takes to compete in yours.
